Vidám Park

On a 16-acre territory the Budapest Amusement Park offers fifty different kinds of traditional and modern rides to its visitors. Five of the rides have been declared as listed historic sites.
Among the traditional rides it is worth mentioning three:
Europe's longest Roller Coaster with wooden framework, which is still the most popular ride in the Park after 70 years.
Merry-go-round, with its unique horses, which was built in 1906. It has recently been renovated back into its original form and in 1998 received the European Nostra Prize.
Cave Railway, formerly the "Railway of the Dragon", which was also built at the beginning of the 20th century. It represents the story of John the Valiant, the poem of the famous Hungarian poet Sándor Petõfi
The modern entertaining themes show us the latest technical inventions, of which it is worth mentioning the following ones:
The Break Dance, whose gondolas do not only dance, but also move around in different directions.
The Looping Star (an inverting roller coaster) really turns the word around!
The Super Boat, which is unique in Europe, slides down from 17 meters high, while diving 7 meters in the air, then splashes into the water.
Smaller children can have lots of fun as well, for them the Small Amusement Park offers more than 10 different rides.
