The South African National Bird of Prey Centre is a registered non profit organisation dedicated to the conservation of not only South African raptors but all raptors world wide. With birds of prey being at the top of the food chain our concern includes all other life forms as well as the environment in which they live. The Centre is not just a place but an ethos for raptor conservation. Our aim is to establish centres throughout South Africa and possibly even further afield.
At present we have established around seven centres and a mobile team that visits venues throughout South Africa and has been as far afield as Botswana and Mauritus.
The South African National Bird of Prey Centre head office is located in Observatory Johannesburg. Our mobile team, which visits schools and outside functions, at present also operates from Observatory. As we grow each centre will have its own mobile team.
