The Zoo was founded in 1969 on a little farm with about 5.5 hectares of land. The purpose of this small Zoo was to make it possible for especially children to get in contact with the animals and their babies and feed them, as well. It was a hard and modest start, but little by little we have enlarged the Zoo every year. We have tried to improve the conditions above all for the animals - and then for our guests. Today the Zoo covers about 20 hectares of land.
In our Zoo you will find more then 700 animals from countries all around the world incl. lions, tigers, cheetahs, giraffes and birds, For your children we have built play grounds with young animals. You are allowed to feed most of the animals in our Zoo and different food can be bought at our shops.
