A fair amount has happened at the Zoo since it opened in 1859, when its most exotic exhibits were stuffed birds, a seal in a bathtub and a turtle in a bucket. Today, the Zoo is a state-of-the-art attraction containing a Children's Zoo, a Zoo Stage and thematic adventure trails, each of which presents animals from different parts of the world - all in an entertaining way to show you more about the different animals and how they live.
