The park Bezruc Gardens was established at the turn of the 20th century (1898) at the time of over-all park redevelopment. The park was officially opened in 1902 under the name Michalsky Vypad, but since 1947 it has been known as Bezruc Gardens. These gardens are connected to the historic center of the city. Local landscape elements were incorporated into the design of the garden (rocks, city walls, and a branch of the Morava River).
