La tercera Edición de los Ultimate European Theme Parks Awards se realizó entre el 19 de Febrero y el 13 de Marzo del 2005. Este año, 636 seguidores de parques temáticos y de atracciones han decidido participar en la votación gracias a los formularios presentados en los 6 idiomas más hablados de Europa. En la votación de esta edición había 26 galardones clasificados en 5 categorías: “Novedades 2004”, “Atracciones”, “Espectáculos y Eventos”, “Parques” y “Varios”.
Los resultados de esta edición están más repartidos que las ultimas ediciones de los Ultimate European Theme Parks Awards a causa de una mayor diversidad de la oferta europea de los parques y resorts. Algunos parques y atracciones estan aún en los primeros puestos del ranking como en anteriores ediciones a pesar de un importante cambio de los votantes en esta edición. Solo el 40% de los votantes del 2003 Edition votaron esta vez, así que el el 60% son nuevos votantes. Este año, Disneyland Park (Francia) es de nuevo el gran ganador de los Ultimate European Theme Parks Awards ganando 12 de los 26 Galardones, pero también cabe remarcar que ha recibido menos premios que en la pasada edición. Le siguen Europa Park (Alemania) y Bobbejaanland (Bélgica) con 3 Awards y PortAventura Park (España) junto Phantasialand (Alemania) que han ganado 2 Awards. También no podemos olvidarnos los parques que se han llevado un Award muy merecidamente o Awards especiales. Estos son: Alton Towers (Reino Unido), Parque de Atracciones de Madrid (España), Parc Astérix (Francia), Holiday Park (Alemania) y Efteling (Holanda). El indiscutible ganador en la categoría de Novedades ha sido el parque belga Bobbejaanland que se ha llevado los dos premios en la categoría de Novedades con "Sledge Hammer" y "Oki Doki", y también está entre el top 3 de “Mejor atraccion de riesgo 2004” con "Typhoon". Bobbejaanland se lleva también con el mismo mérito de Phantasialand el Award “Mejor Atracción de Riesgo (excepto Montañas Rusas)”, gracias a Sledge Hammer. Bobbejaanland , en resumen se lleva un total de 3 Awards. El premio « El Parque con Mejores Atracciones de Europa” lo ha ganado el británico Alton Towers por sus grandes atracciones como Nemesis, Air or Oblivion. Alton Towers gana así su primer Award de una maravillosa y merecida manera, pues es considerado el parque de atracciones/temático con mejores atracciones de todo el continente.
